Organized annually by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), TISFF serves as a vital platform for emerging filmmakers, fostering creativity and cinematic expression. The festival emphasizes fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films, attracting talents from both Iran and around the world.

TISFF became an Academy Awards® qualifying festival in 2020, with its Grand Prix winner eligible for Oscar® consideration. This recognition has significantly enhanced the festival’s international reputation, making it a sought-after platform for filmmakers.
